This recipe is identical to Tex-Mex restaurant quality queso, and can be adjusted to your spice preference. (Try it with my copy-cat recipe for a crunch wrap supreme!)

- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 oz. chopped green chilies
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3 tbsp diced pickled jalapeños and their juice, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon (or to taste) Chalula, or your favorite hot sauce
Directions:
- Melt butter in sauce pan over medium heat, add spices and cook until fragrant.
- Add the milk and cheese in batches, stirring occasionally until the cheese is melted.
- Add the green chilies and chopped jalapeño until it’s as spicy as you like!
