Chocolate Milkshake

For my Grandma’s 80th birthday we hosted a 50’s Diner Themed Party. And since you can’t have a proper diner without indulgent milk shakes, these had to be made. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • three generous scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup of chocolate syrup
  • Whipped cream, for garnish
  • your favorite cookie, candy, or sprinkles for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Let the ice cream soften at room temperature until it is the consistency of soft-serve.
  2. Put the glass you’ll be serving the milkshake in in the freezer to let it chill.
  3. Add three large scoops of ice cream to the blender.
  4. Add 1/4 cup of whole milk.
  5. Add chocolate syrup and vanilla extract.
  6. Blend until smooth and serve in the frosty glass.
  7. Top the milkshake with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry.
