For my Grandma’s 80th birthday we hosted a 50’s Diner Themed Party. And since you can’t have a proper diner without indulgent milk shakes, these had to be made. Here’s what you’ll need:
- three generous scoops of vanilla ice cream
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup of chocolate syrup
- Whipped cream, for garnish
- your favorite cookie, candy, or sprinkles for garnish
- Maraschino cherry, for garnish
Directions:
- Let the ice cream soften at room temperature until it is the consistency of soft-serve.
- Put the glass you’ll be serving the milkshake in in the freezer to let it chill.
- Add three large scoops of ice cream to the blender.
- Add 1/4 cup of whole milk.
- Add chocolate syrup and vanilla extract.
- Blend until smooth and serve in the frosty glass.
- Top the milkshake with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry.
