Thick and Juicy Hamburgers

Here’s another American classic. I love cooking this quick meal on my griddle.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 small yellow onion, grated (about 1/2 a cup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 slices american cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns

For the Sauce

  • 1/3 cup Mayo
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Dill Pickle Relish
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika

Directions:

  1. Heat your griddle, grill, or pan to medium.
  2. Combine onion, seasonings, ground beef, egg, and ground beef in a bowl and mix together with your hands until incorporated.
  3. Form balls of meat and place on griddle, smashing down a bit to your desired thickness.
  4. Cook until your desired temperature. Though I always recommend medium-rare.
  5. Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix.
  6. Top burgers with cheese when they’re about done to melt the cheese.
  7. Assemble the burger on your favorite bun, add desired toppings, sauce, and enjoy!
