Here’s another American classic. I love cooking this quick meal on my griddle.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 egg white
- 1 small yellow onion, grated (about 1/2 a cup)
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 slices american cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
For the Sauce
- 1/3 cup Mayo
- 2 tablespoons Ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Dill Pickle Relish
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 1/4 tsp Paprika
Directions:
- Heat your griddle, grill, or pan to medium.
- Combine onion, seasonings, ground beef, egg, and ground beef in a bowl and mix together with your hands until incorporated.
- Form balls of meat and place on griddle, smashing down a bit to your desired thickness.
- Cook until your desired temperature. Though I always recommend medium-rare.
- Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix.
- Top burgers with cheese when they’re about done to melt the cheese.
- Assemble the burger on your favorite bun, add desired toppings, sauce, and enjoy!
