Pumpkin Bread

We love pumpkin bread in my family. My aunt made it for Thanksgiving every year and I finally remembered to ask for her recipe so it can be a staple at every holiday feast, or just a cozy fall evening.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15 ounce) canned pumpkin puree
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves

Directions:

  1. Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
  2. Mix together the dry ingredients in one bowl and mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet in batches, stirring to combine.
  4. Pour batter into two greased bread pans and cook for 50 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean
